Singapore

Singapore has always been a popular place for people to move to. Both the economy and the government are stable, and Chinese and English are the main languages used for daily business. Plus, the fact that its culture is family-friendly makes it appealing to both Western and Chinese expats. But in recent years, the cost of living has gone up, and visa rules have become stricter, making it harder to move there than it used to be.

# You need to have a job before you move and apply to become a permanent resident.
# Most people who have lived in a country permanently for two years can apply for citizenship.
# To apply for residency, you must be the spouse or partner of a citizen or permanent resident, have an employment pass, be a student, or be a foreign investor.

But it’s important to remember that all men who are citizens or permanent residents are required to join the military and serve for two years. After these two years, you have to do 40 days of service a year (if you’re an officer) until you’re 50, and 40 days a year (if you’re not an officer) until you’re 40.
