You might think that shipping cars overseas is the same no matter what kind of car you are shipping. But building an exotic car takes more care and attention at every step. The owners of exotic cars take good care of them, and they expect international shipping companies to do the same.

The Options

When shipping their cars overseas, owners of exotic cars have a number of choices. Many people choose to ship their unusual animals by plane. It is the fastest way to get there, and planes leave the UAE every day for major cities in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and other places. But shipping an exotic animal by plane is the most expensive way to do it.

A container is a cheaper way to ship something out of the country. The car is driven inside a container, which keeps it safe. The container is then put on a ship that sails to the final destination. Even though going by water is slower than by air, the money you save and the extra security can be worth it. Not all expensive cars go by air, but many exotic and classic cars that cost more than $1 million have been sent this way.

Getting The Exotic To The Departure Point

Most people choose enclosed transport when shipping exotic cars overseas so that nosy people can’t see them and the cars stay clean.

Many people also forget how low exotic cars are to the ground, which makes it hard to get on a transporter without ramps so that the front lip doesn’t get scratched. Even though the front of many modern exotic cars can be raised, this is still the case. Some transporters won’t move your exotic because it has low ground clearance.

Even though exotic cars are smaller than most, they tend to be wide. The Lamborghini Aventador is almost 2 inches wider than a full-size Range Rover. So the people who move cars have to be extra careful when putting them in tight trailers. Most of the time, this is not a problem with carriers that are closed.

Check In Process

Once the exotic car is unloaded, the vehicle coordinator looks at how it is now compared to how it was when it was picked up. If all the marks are the same, they sign off on the driver and take the car. But if there is damage that wasn’t seen, they carefully check every part of the car, inside and out, to make sure nothing was missed. Aside from “acts of god,” transporters who work with exotic cars are careful, and there are no reports of damage to cars they have moved before. When they get work, they have to meet strict rating requirements. Transporters with a history of damage might as well go into a different business.

After the cars have been inspected and pictures have been taken, they are put away until the day they leave. The cars are kept inside, in a warehouse that is monitored by cameras and has covers and tools to keep the batteries charged.

Prepare For Departure

Depending on which international shipping service is chosen, the date of departure will change. When shipping by plane, the cars are taken to the airport and put on a flight that was already planned. In some cases, that can mean that the same people leave. Most of the time, departure dates depend on what the shipper needs.

But if you choose to ship the car in a container, it will go on the next ship that has room. The most popular places in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are where ships leave every week. Some of the more unusual places may have to wait an extra week or two before a ship can go there. Shipping companies can set up departures for the same day in advance.

  • Some companies can use GDFRA-D online services to help them get visas, so check with them first before going through the process on your own.

  • When you apply for your visa, you should sign up for your NIC.

  • There are lots of ways to get around, and the Nol card works for all public transportation.

Before the global economic crisis, many large companies thought about moving to Dubai or opening a field office there as a way to make more money. Even though the economy is bad, Dubai still has a lot to offer. Many foreign companies and international financial institutions still choose to move there.

Dry Heat and Deserts

Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are two emirates that are close by. Like them, Dubai has a hot climate with little rain throughout the year but a lot of humidity along the coast. During the summer, it can get as hot as 45°C. But moving to Dubai doesn’t mean you have to leave your new home in the summer when it’s hot and humid. There is air conditioning in hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and public transportation.

Foreigners who move to Dubai may feel overwhelmed by the desert, which makes up most of the city’s landscape. Dubai does not have any natural oases or bodies of water like its southern neighbour Abu Dhabi. But the city is split into a western part and an eastern part by a natural creek (Deira). Even though the creek has been dredged, it is still pretty big. The fastest way to get from Deira to Dubai City is by boat.

Visit or Visa?

If you are a citizen of one of the 46 countries that can get a visit visa when you arrive in Dubai, you won’t have any trouble getting into the emirate on a visit visa. People from other countries need to find a UAE citizen or resident who will sponsor them. It’s the same for people who move to Dubai for work. Employment visas are always something that your employer should help you get.

All questions about visas for expats should be sent to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA-D). It has many locations all over the city. Most of them are open from 7:30 to 20:00, but some don’t open until 8:00 and some close at 14:30. After moving to Dubai, people with questions or problems can call the Amer Service, which is a GDRFA-D customer service line.

Employment Visa

The online services of GDRFA-D help local companies whose foreign employees move to Dubai. Companies don’t have to go to the GDRFA-D in person to get entry permits because they can print them on their own. Remember that rules about visas can change. So, the best thing to do before you move is to contact the UAE consulate or embassy closest to you to find out what the rules are now.

Once the work visa is taken care of, you will need to apply for more papers. When moving to Dubai, expats are required to get a health card and a residence permit. Within 60 days of your arrival, your employer must also apply for your e-card and e-contract.

Customs and Registration in Dubai

National Identity Card

In 2006, the National Identity Card (NIC) was put into place. With its advanced ID features, it should soon replace labour cards, passports, and other forms of ID for Emiratis and expats in Dubai. When the card was first made, only Emiratis and people from the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) who lived in the UAE could sign up. Immigrant workers and people living abroad can now also sign up.

Since September 2010, children over 15 years old are also required to sign up for a National Identity Card. The Emirates ID Card is now linked directly to an application for a residence visa. This makes the whole process much easier for expats. You have to do the following things to get a National Identity Card:

Go to one of the many approved typing centres and fill out the e-form there. After that, you’ll have to pay the registration and service fees.

Then, you’ll get a text message telling you when and where to get your photo and fingerprints taken.

Go to the EIDA service your text message told you to go to, and don’t forget to bring your passport.

Have your picture, your fingerprints, and your biometric information taken.

Your National Identity Card will be sent to you in the mail.

Entering through Dubai’s Airport

People who move to Dubai will also be able to take advantage of it being a travel hub for the Middle East. Dubai is a popular place for expats and tourists alike. It has two international ports, two international airports, and its own airline. Every year, more than 60 million people go through Dubai International Airport. Here, more than 130 airlines fly to more than 200 different places.

If you want to make your arrival easier, you can use the Marhaba service to get through the airport’s passport checks faster. For a small fee, an airport worker will meet you when you get there and help you with the controls, take you to the place where you can get your bags, and help you with ground control.

Customs Regulations

Expats and visitors to Dubai need to be aware of current customs regulations before they enter the country.

Certain items, such as all kinds of narcotic drugs, are prohibited. The same applies to certain kinds of medication. If you regularly need to take a certain type of prescription medicine, make sure to bring a prescription or a medical certificate from a UAE-licensed practitioner. You should not import more than a personal supply to see you through for a period of three months.

Other prohibited items might include:

poppy seeds, qat leaf, betel leaf or nuts, niswar (a kind of chewing tobacco) and gutkha (an Indian preparation of chewing tobacco and betel nuts)

pornographic material

non-Islamic religious pamphlets

fireworks

ivory and rhinoceros horn

endangered animal species

weapons and ammunition

chemical and organic fertilizers

gambling tools

any objects that do not adhere to the religious and moral values of the UAE

Transportation in Dubai

The Modern Metro

Since 2009, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has been in charge of the red and green metro lines. These two lines go in different directions and stop at different places, giving people an option besides driving. The metro is a comfortable and modern way to get around. It has separate cabins for women and children, as well as a silver class and a gold class.

People pay their fares by buying a ticket, which is called a “Nol card.” There are four types of Nol cards: red for visitors and tourists, blue for regular users, silver for occasional travellers, and gold for people who want to ride in the Metro Gold Class cabins. RTA Wojhati is a tool you can use to plan your trip (journey planner). It helps you plan your route, taking into account both the Dubai metro and other public transportation options.

On the Road

Besides cars, taxis are the most common way to get around in Dubai. You can get a taxi anywhere in Dubai, or you can book one ahead of time. There is a service for booking and making reservations online. Women who don’t feel safe or comfortable with male drivers can book “pink taxis” with female drivers.

Buses can be used instead of taxis. Different residential, industrial, and business districts in Dubai are linked by bus services. People can also take night buses and buses that go between emirates. Dubai just recently built bus stops with air conditioning to make it more comfortable for people to wait for the bus.

Like with the metro, you buy a Nol card before getting on a bus to pay for your fare. You can get them at RTA outlets, Dubai Metro stations, and a few bus stations. Dubai has 5 zones, and prices vary depending on where you want to go.

Taking the Water Route

Abras are traditional wooden boats with motors that can be used to get around on the water or to cross a creek. For 100 AED per hour, you can hire them to cruise along the creek. Most people, though, use water buses, which are run by the RTA marine agency. Commuters can choose from five different routes that cost between 2 and 5 AED per person. The Nol card can also be used to pay.

In July 2010, Dubai also started a water taxi service. Water taxis can carry up to 11 people and have ramps, LCD screens, air-conditioned cabins, and other nice features. They can leave the creek and go through the Gulf of Mexico, unlike water buses and abras.

Water taxis take people from places like Deira Old Souk or Jebel Ali Golf resort to other places. They run from 10:00 to 22:00. Passengers must call RTA or their hotel’s service staff in advance to book rides on the water taxi. When the passenger makes the reservation, they agree on the price.

It is imperative that all of your furniture and other belongings be handled with the utmost care during an international move. After all, you wouldn’t want to start your new life in a foreign country by replacing broken furniture.

After gathering all of your packing materials, you should organise your packing process. For guidance in developing your own strategy, please refer to our proposed outline.

Check all the details of your new place

Take note of any pieces of furniture that may be over there. When moving across the world, if your new place has a closet already installed, there’s no need to bring your old wardrobe with you. Your new home’s dimensions, especially those of any doorways, must be known to you as well. After all, nothing is more annoying than making the trip home only to realise your couch won’t fit through the entrance.

Create an inventory of your furniture

Get a pen and paper and make a complete inventory of your home’s furnishings. An itemised list is a great tool for figuring out what to pack. You can reduce the size of the list by going through it item by item after you’ve finished listing everything. You should check the list for duplicates and items you no longer need or use.

Inspect your furniture

If you’ve got small children or pets, then you probably inspect your furniture fairly regularly for damage. You need to check the condition of each item and take photographs of any existing wear and tear. That way, if anything gets bumped in transit then you can prove it and claim on insurance (if you have it). You should also be inspecting your most delicate pieces of furniture and deciding whether they need professional packing.

Choose your packing materials

You’ll need more than cardboard boxes and packing tape for this. Corrugated cardboard, furniture blankets, and plastic stretch wrap are just a few examples of the fantastic packing materials available for international shipping. Consider the packing supplies you’ll need after you’ve made your list of what to bring. Put everything down on paper and then add a little more.

Find some strong friends

To save money on professional packers, see if any of your strong, willing friends would be interested in lending a hand. The key is to not wait until the last minute to inquire. Set a date (or dates) for when you will begin packing, and let your friends know.

Get started

A well-thought-out strategy will prevent you from wasting time and money on unnecessary items. It will also provide you with expert guidance and resources to get ready. Then it’s time to start packing!

Hiring a professional packing & international moving service in the UAE means that you won’t have to worry about buying or renting any of the packing supplies yourself. If you’re moving on your own, however, you have many options for boxes and other packing supplies.

If you want to bring your expensive car with you when you move, you have a few options. You can ship it in your 20- or 40-foot container with the rest of your household goods, or you can send it separately on a ship made just for transporting cars.

There are two main kinds of services for shipping cars: door-to-door shipping and shipping from one terminal to another. The first choice is more expensive, which makes sense, but it saves a lot of trouble. If you only want to go from terminal to terminal, you’ll need to make sure you have enough time and money to get the car to and from both ends of the trip.

Shipping Car by Air or Ocean freight?

By far, the fastest way to ship your car, either internationally or within the country, is by air. Even though it costs a lot more, this is a very special way to ship something that may be appealing. Ocean freight, either with a roll on/roll off service or a container, is the most common way to ship cars overseas. The first way is to drive or roll your car onto the ship and then tie it down below deck for the trip, which can take several weeks depending on how far you are going. Shipping a car in a container is safer, especially for more expensive or fragile cars, because the car is better protected from the weather, other cars that might move, and changes in climate and humidity.

Luxury Car Shipping by Container

If your car is going to be shipped in a safe container, it will either be loaded at the port or at your house with the rest of your stuff. If you’re planning to ship your Luxury car in a container with personal effects and load it from home, you need to build a protective plywood wall inside your container first. However, professional movers in the UAE can help you in this process. All alarms and the battery must be turned off, and all of the gas must be taken out of the car to make it safe and ready to ship.

Wheels need to be stopped with chocks or blocks of wood, and then they need to be tied down securely. Again, many companies will do this for you because they want your Luxury car to move to its destination in one piece. Find out if they can or will help you load your vehicle if you’re loading from home, since the container won’t sit on the ground when it gets to your property. If not, you will need to rent a flatbed from a garage near you to get the car safely into the container.

Preparing for Transportation

Carefully wash your car and make a note of its overall condition, including any damaged spots. Take pictures of everything to keep track of it in case something goes wrong and you need to make a claim later.

Take all belongings out of the car because it won’t be insured. Also, don’t forget to take all documents out of the glove box!

Do general maintenance. Check the battery, the pressure in the tyres, and the level of antifreeze. Pull the radio antenna back and make sure the car doesn’t have more than half a tank of gas. Cars that are shipped by container, on the other hand, should have their fuel drained and their batteries disconnected.

Make sure that your transporter’s insurance covers stereos, GPS, and other electronic additions. If not, they should be taken off before shipping.

Give your mover a set of keys, and if your classic or luxury car has any special features, make sure they know about them. If you can, turn off the alarm and immobiliser. If you use a roll on-roll off service, your car has to be running, which is another reason why it’s hard to ship a classic car.

Bringing your classic or luxury car with you when you move doesn’t have to be impossible if you work with the right company and plan ahead. You can connect with the Baxter Shipping team to have more information on international car moving service. You can also get a Free international moving On-Site Survey to move your household goods from the UAE.

Dubai is without a doubt one of the world’s top places to do business on the corporate level. This is because the Dubai government is particularly interested in and supportive of creating a dynamic business environment in Dubai.Company formation in Dubai offers good business opportunities for many different types of business structures. So, it makes sense to start any kind of business in Dubai, where the government encourages entrepreneurs from all over the world to do so.

Starting a business in Dubai requires a clear understanding of how to choose the best business structure in Dubai. You need to know if the best business structure in Dubai is a Dubai mainland Company, a Free Zone Company, or an offshore company. After that, you need to choose the right kind of company, licence, and business activities you want to offer.

Different Ways to Start a Business in Dubai

In Dubai, there are three different types of jurisdictions that can be used to start a business. All of these places have their own rules, and different kinds of businesses find them helpful.

Company from Mainland

A company that is licenced by Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED) is called an onshore company or a Dubai mainland company. Mainland Company is free to do business both in and outside of UAE.

Free Zone Business

The purpose of the free zones in Dubai or the UAE is to do international business or business between the free zones. Free zone company formation is very popular with investors or corporations because it comes with benefits like:

100% foreign ownership

Customs privileges

Exemption of taxes

Cost Effective and affordable

Well established transport network and road connectivity

Affordable cost for high-quality labor

Offshore Company

Most businesses like to set up an offshore company, also called a non-resident company, in Dubai or RAKEZ. However, this is the best way to do international business, and you can’t do business in UAE with an offshore company. People also like to set up an offshore company as a holding company so they can hold:

The holding company owns the shares of other companies in other countries.

Legal rights to intellectual property like patents, trademarks, copyright, etc.

Licensing of franchises of companies.

Types of Entities for Company Formation in Dubai

If a foreign company wants to start a business in Dubai, they have eight main legal entity options, such as company formation in Dubai or business formation in Dubai. Here’s what they are:

Setting up a limited liability company

Dubai free zone company formation

Setting up an offshore company in Dubai

Dubai Mainland Company Setup

Offices with a branch or a representative

Professional firms in Dubai

Shareholding companies

Joint venture companies

What are the Types of Business Licenses Available in Dubai?

The Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai is the main licensing authority that issues licenses for all sorts of business activities in Dubai. One of the most important requirements for all business licences is to choose the right type of licence from the three types below:

Dubai Commercial License

All kinds of business activities are covered by a Dubai Commercial License. It’s a type of Limited Liability Company (LLC). Article 22 of the Companies Law says that there should be at least 51% shares owned by people from the UAE. For this commercial licence, a local Emirati (Dubai Local Sponsor) will hold 51% of the company’s shares and be paid annually for doing so. Either an individual or a business can be the local sponsor.

Professional License in Dubai

It can be a sole proprietorship or a civil company, depending on how many investors or partners are involved. The person with the licence can have 100% foreign ownership. To get this licence, a UAE citizen must be named as the Local Service Agent, but he won’t own any shares in the company. The fee for sponsorship is paid once a year.

Dubai Industrial License

For starting an industrial or manufacturing business

Advantages of Setting Up a Business in Dubai

All kinds of companies should be able to bring back all of their profits and capital.

100% of free zone, offshore, and (professional licence holder) mainland companies are owned by people from other countries.

Companies in a free zone or on the mainland that have a professional licence don’t need a sponsor from their home country.

Offshore companies and a number of tax-free zones don’t have to pay any taxes. Very little tax on other places to do business.

Labor and staff that are relatively cheap, easy to find, and good

Infrastructure (offices, warehouses, roads, etc.) of world-class quality and closeness to important airports and seaports.

Bank accounts can be opened and managed in a variety of ways, and they can hold more than one currency.

Investors, their families, and employees can get 3-year visas.

The process of registering a company is easy and quick because of modern technology.

The best homes and businesses with the most up-to-date communication systems and reliable utility systems.

What is the Procedure for Company Formation in Dubai?

Pick the company’s name

When forming a company in Dubai, the first step is to decide what the company will be called. Before it starts, every business will choose a trade name. This business name must be unique and follow the rules set by DED. DED has to agree on this name (Department of Economic Department)

Choose the right business activity

You need to know what kind of business you are running. If you are selling things, you need a commercial licence, but if you are offering services, you need a professional company.

Find a local sponsor

For Dubai mainland company formation, you need a local sponsor who is a local Emirati (except for those with professional licence where local Emirati will be act as a local service agent). A local sponsor will pay an annual fee to own 51% of a company.

In the case of a professional licence, you need local service agents. The person from the UAE won’t have any shares in the professional company.

Select the office Location

For company registration in Dubai, you also need to choose a good location and make a tenancy agreement. You can also choose a virtual office in any of the business centres, but it depends on the business activity.

Preparation of the M&A

The next step is to make the new company’s MOA (memorandum of association).

Final Submission

For the final submission, you’ll also need a licence application, a memorandum of agreement (MOA), a tenancy contract, and a few other documents, depending on the type of business you’re running and where you want it to be.

Moving abroad can be hard, but it also opens up a whole new world and requires a change in lifestyle. Since moving can take a lot of time and effort, here’s a quick list of things to think about as you plan your move abroad:

Set a Timeline

Planning ahead will help you keep track of all the moving details, like paperwork and requirements. This is so you won’t be stressed on moving day, and it also helps you decide what to bring with you and what to leave behind. The best time to ship your things from another country is one month (or even longer). Making a list of everything that needs to be done until the day you move can help you move with ease.

Get a price quote

Even though it’s a good idea to get multiple quotes from different companies, price may not be everything. Some companies charge more for their services, but they do better work. Other companies, on the other hand, charge less but do less good work. It’s important to think about the quality of the service to which you’ll give your important things.

Look at the Reviews and Services they offer

As you do your research and narrow down your list of potential companies, you might want to look at reviews from real customers. This is a good way to figure out how to do services. The services that are offered may also be mentioned in reviews. Find an international moving service with packages that can be changed to meet your needs.

If you need help moving internationally from the UAE, you might want to check out what Baxter Shipping has to offer.

Licenses and Certifications

When you ship valuable things like jewellery, insurance companies take an extra step to make sure your things are safe and in good hands. Certifications and licences also let you know that your property is in good hands.

We at Baxter Shipping work with packers and movers all over the world, and we’ve been doing this for several years. This makes our service reliable, affordable & safe.

Are you going to move from the UAE to London? London is a very popular place to live because it has a lot going on and a lot of great opportunities. You may be moving to another country for work or just to start over in a new place. Even though that’s great, moving can still be scary and stressful for anyone, but with the right help, you can move without any problems.

First things first, let’s find a place to live.

Whether you want to buy or rent a place to live, it all depends on what your goal is. For example, if your job requires you to live close to the CBD, it will cost you a lot to buy a flat in the best area. Prices are still pretty low in areas that are farther out but still considered central. These things are important to think about, especially if you want to live in the city instead of the country.

Before deciding to move from the UAE to the UK, you should do some research. The key to your new adventure in a new country is to find the right place to rent for your new home. Here are some reasons why people and families might want to move to London.

Cultural Similarities

Dibaio and London have a lot in common when it comes to their cultures. They are both in places with a lot of different cultures, languages, and nationalities, and they have a lot of people from different places.

If you can speak and understand English well, you won’t have a hard time adjusting when you move from UAE to the UK.

People who move from Dubai to London may still experience a culture shock, but it’s best to keep an open mind and enjoy some of the new things that come your way, like trying out the different kinds of food in London. Plus for the foodie who likes to try new things.

Visa

Find the right type of visa for your trip. Visit https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration to learn more.

How to Get Around

Moving from Dubai to London, you’ll also find that the transportation systems are very similar, since both countries have great public transportation. On the other hand, you can think about getting your own car, but gas prices may be quite high.

You might want to get a bike to get to work or run errands. Two-wheel rides might be enough for your daily needs and exploring new places with nice views. You’ll also get a good workout!

If you get tired of riding your bike, you can take it on public transportation. Find out more here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/cycling/cycles-on-public-transport

The Boomarang bistro and bar is close to Singapore’s nightlife. Robertson Quay, which is right next to Clarke Quay, has not only the best restaurants but also the best bars. Not only are they great places to have a party, but they also allow pets. This trait is hard to find in Singapore.

Tax Singapore

People won’t have to pay taxes on income that comes from outside of Singapore. The government does not have a tax on capital gains or a single tax rate. The goal of this tax structure is to get people to invest. Personal income tax doesn’t apply to people who work on the island for less than 60 days. People who work between 61 and 183 days are taxed at a rate that is higher than 15% or the resident tax rate.

Customs

Goods and Services Tax will be paid when personal and household items are brought into Singapore (GST). People must fill out a Customs-in-payment (GST) form to keep track of the goods they bring into the country and pay GST. GST relief may be eligible to foreigners transferring residence or migrating to Singapore.

What are my Shipping Options?

After looking at your budget and how long you have to move to Singapore, we will suggest the best way to get there. We offer the following moving services into Singapore at the moment:

Air freight

Groupage / Shared Shipments

LCL (Less than Container Load)

FCL (Full Container Load)

Air Freight

Most airfreight shipments are picked up and moved within 48 hours of being packed. The flight takes less than a day, but getting through Singapore’s customs could take up to 4 days. For fast shipping when price is not the most important thing.

LCL Shipments

Less than container load is what LCL stands for. This is the best way to ship your goods if it costs less than getting a quote for a full container and you don’t have time to wait for us to fill a groupage container. After your goods are packed up at your home, they will be sent to the warehouse of the consolidators to be shipped out.

FCL Shipments

Full Container Load is what FCL stands for. When we know that your goods will fill more than half of the container, it is often cheaper to book the whole container. This method of shipping has the fewest middlemen, which makes the supply chain easier to control. This also means that your goods are less likely to get damaged.

Groupage Shipping

Small shipments to Singapore can be sent for the least amount of money through groupage shipping. Your items are packed and kept in our warehouse until we have enough to ship in a shared container.
