What are my freight options for moving to Canada?

After figuring out how much your move to Canada will cost and how long it will take, we will tell you the best way to get your things there. At the moment, we offer the following ways to get to Canada:

# Air freight

# Groupage Shipping

# LCL (Less than Container Load)

# FCL (Full Container Load)

AIR FREIGHT

Most air freight is picked up, packed, and put on a plane to Canada within two days of being packed. It takes about a day to get from one place to another, but customs and clearance at the destination can take up to 4 days.

LCL Shipping

LCL stands for “Less than Container Load,” which is a way to ship goods that don’t need a full container. LCL is the best way to ship when you don’t have enough items to fill a full container and you don’t have time to wait for a groupage container. Once the packing is done at Origin, your goods will be sent to our consolidator, who sails once a week to all of Canada’s major ports.

FCL Shipping

FCL, which stands for “Full Container Load,” is the most cost-effective way to ship when you know your goods will take up more than 3/4 of a 20-foot container. This is because we only book the whole container to move your goods, and no other handling agents are involved. The container will be brought to your home, where it will be filled and sealed.

GROUPAGE SHIPPING

Groupage shipping is the cheapest way to send small packages to Canada. After they are packed, shipments stay in our warehouse until we have enough to fill a container that is going to Canada. In Singapore, most people have to wait between 4 and 8 weeks.

Shipping Alcohol to Canada

If you ship alcohol, you must give a detailed list that includes the type, size, and amount, and you must get an import permit before bringing it in. Duties and taxes will apply. The Provincial Liquor Control Board is where you can get a permit to bring in alcohol. Between October 1 and March 31, you shouldn’t ship wine because it could freeze.

Shipping Food into Canada

Shipping food can take a long time and cost you more money. To import meat, you need permission and approval ahead of time. Spices, nuts, and seeds must be in their original packaging and have clear English labels. After inspection, the department still has the right to seize and get rid of the food, so it’s not a good idea to bring it in.

Restricted / Dutiable items

The following things are controlled and must be reported because they may be subject to duties, taxes, or extra checks.

# Alcohol

# Tobacco.

# Foodstuff.

# Meat.

# Pornographic materials.

# New items.

# Hunting trophies .

# Firearms.
